What is Solstiss?
Solstiss is a lace weaving company founded in 1974. Based in France, it united four different lacemakers under one brand. Solstiss has come a long way from where it started to today where it is the go-to option for high-quality tasteful textiles.
They’ve revolutionized the art of Leavers lace to another level inspiring several fashion houses across the world.
Over the course of 40 years, Solstiss has produced several lace designs in assorted colors. They add two new collections of lace fabrics every year.

Chantilly lace
Perhaps the most delicate type of lace fabrics ever, it is usually sheer or semi-sheer and has a magnificent flowing drape. They’re often designed with floral patterns, however, one may see some modern geometry designs.
Bourdon lace
The Bourdon Lace is often referred to as corded lace, designed in a geometric or floral pattern which is defined by cording for greater texture. They differ in the depth and the thicker threads meaning the pattern is substantially raised.
Guipure lace
This is one of the heavier types of laces, guipure embroidery comprises textured elements interlocked with fine braids. It has more body, it is often layered over more solid fabrics for a striking effect.
Metallic lace
This type of lace is woven with metallic threads like gold, silver, or copper, they mirror Chantilly laces. The only difference between the two is that the Metallic lace has more sheen that reflects light exquisitely.
Embellished lace
The Embellished lace is for the most challenging, Solstiss creates this particular type of lace with more decorative elements such as satin stitch embroidery, feathers, beading, etc. One can see this selection of laces is often included in high-end exclusive designs which can be seen on fashion runways across the world.
